3. What payment type is accepted by Able Moving & Storage, Inc. for moves?
Able Moving & Storage, Inc. performs a variety of different moves and accepts the following forms of payment for each:
* Local – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, personal check, certified check, cash
* Intra State (over 30 miles but within Virginia)– Visa, Mastercard, American Express, certified check
* Storage Out – Certified Funds Only
* Long Distance – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Certified Funds
* International Moving & International Shipping – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Certified Funds

Able Moving & Storage, Inc. has grown rapidly over the last 2 decades, and so have our capabilities. Able performs and can arrange for the following types of moves:
* Local
* Intra
* Long Distance
* International moving & International Shipping
* Special Products & Office Moves
5. What type of storage does Able Moving & Storage, Inc. offer?
Able Moving & Storage, Inc. offers containerized storage. This consists of storing your household goods in large, professionally built, company provided wooden crates. This type of storage works best for storing items long term, that will not need to be accessed immediately.
6. How long does a customer have to file a claim for damaged goods from their move?
Even though Able Moving & Storage, Inc. takes extra care with each customer’s household items, sometimes accidents do happen. Though the process is similar for filing a claim for any type of move, the time frames differ. Additional information can be obtained by speaking to a customer service representative.
* Local Move Claim: 10 days from the date of the move to file a claim
* Intra State Move Claim: 90 days from the date of the move to file a claim
* Long Distance Move: Each long distance customer has 9 months from the date of their move to file a claim.
7. Are there items that Able Moving & Storage, Inc. does not move?
Yes. We cannot and/or will not transport the following items:
* Open Liquids - Jewelry - Cash
* Hand guns - Ammunition - Propane tanks
* Kerosene - Gasoline - Any flammable items
8. What is the Senior Discount?
Local – 5% off labor, Long Distance - final rate is based on weight and mileage of the move and is factored into the final discount and price of the move.
9. What are Able Moving & Storage, Inc.’s office and warehouse hours?
Office - Monday through Friday 8am –5pm ; Saturday 8am –12pm
Warehouse – Monday through Friday – 8am – 4pm
10. Do dressers and filing cabinets have to be emptied for transport?
Local - no, unless the piece of furniture has more than 4 drawers
Long Distance – yes, it is preferred that all drawers are emptied for easier transport
11. Does Able Moving & Storage, Inc. transport cars?
Yes, but only if the car is being shipped in addition to a regular household move. Able Moving & Storage, Inc. does not transport cars individually.
